Kuikka are a large waterbird, comparable to capercaillies in size. They have a distinct call that can be heard from a fair distance away and can often be found floating out on larger lakes or pools of water in nearby marshland.
Butchering a kuikka produces around 5-8 lbs of meat, 20-35 feathers and 0.3 lbs of hide.
